Guinea pigs should have hay for about 75% of their daily diet. They need plenty of fresh hay.

1/8 – 1/4 cup of high-quality pellets per day is ideal.

1 cup of fresh vegetables per day will help keep your guinea pig healthy.

You should feed your guinea pig fresh fruit 1-4 times per week. (We don’t want them to eat too much sugar).

Limit calcium to reduce the risk of developing bladder stones.

Fresh fruits and vegetables supply essential vitamins and minerals, so don’t forget them.

Make sure you wash your fruits and veggies to reduce or eliminate coatings and pesticides.

Avoid feeding your guinea pig seeds.
